Bage - Fashion models wearing garments designed by Gloria, pen, water and body colour, original artwork, signed, 50 cm x 65cm.Provenance: the estate of the late Gloria Gross. Born in South Africa in 1944 Gloria was a fashion designer, book illustrator, graphic artist. In 1965 she left South Africa and arrived in London and became part of the Swinging Sixties. Her design work in the UK, Europe and Japan built her reputation. In the early 1970’s Gloria was designing clothing for men, notably Tom Jones, Sean Connery and Stanley Baker. Later in her career she moved into commercial design and childrens' book illustration..
